Jim Hinshaw

Jim has over 50 years of experience in the HVAC industry. He began his career with Trane, later becoming President of a mechanical contracting company before purchasing and growing his own contracting business in Phoenix. He also served as VP of Sales and Installations at Donley Service for nine years. In 1999, Jim launched a consulting business, developing training programs for manufacturers, distributors, and dealers across North America. He later spent eight years leading the western U.S. territory for a consulting firm supporting Goodman-Amana dealers. After retiring in 2019, Jim joined Service Nation as Vertical Market Manager for HVAC in Dallas, where he works with contractors of all sizes to improve sales, profitability, and long-term business success. Jim is also a published author who writes for several industry publications and has three books in print: Lessons Learned, The Good Stuff, and Amazing Stories.
